The base default currency applies to documents uploaded to Hubdoc. Hubdoc’s OCR technology does not extract currency information from uploaded documents, rather applies the extracted amount with the default base currency.
To select your default base currency in Hubdoc, please follow these steps
- Click on the ‘Accounts’ tab > ‘Profile’.
- Scroll to ‘Base Currency’ and click on the drop-down menu to view all currency options.
- Select your preferred base currency.
If you wish to change the currency of a specific document or vendor, this can be done at the document level in the ‘Edit Data’ bar. Once you have changed the document currency in the ‘Edit Data bar’, the default currency will be saved for that particular vendor i.e., If you choose USD for a specific restaurant receipt, the next time that restaurant document is uploaded, Hubdoc will default to the selected USD currency.
