Connect ScanSnap to Hubdoc

We are very excited to introduce our newest integration and partnership with ScanSnap! Now you can upload your documents in a snap! When you’re ready to get set up, please follow these steps:

  • Head over to select your region, and scroll to the bottom of the next page to download the ScanSnap Cloud application for your computer.
  • If your region is not available please refer to the ScanSnap Desktop articles located in the ScanSnap section of our Supercharge Your Practice Helpdesk category.
  • Launch the application, login and follow the steps to connect your Scanner. There are 2 supported models: iX500 or iX100.

  • When you reach the Document Configuration step, click 'Change' to set up a destination for a document type.

  • Click on Hubdoc, and then click 'Select'.

  • Login to your Hubdoc account, and follow the steps to authorize the connection
  • Note: Hubdoc and ScanSnap integrate on a 1 to 1 basis. This means that the account you login with in this step is the account that documents will forward to. If you would like to forward documents from the ScanSnap to a client's account, you must enter your client's login credentials, rather than your own.

  • Click Configure, then 'Save Settings' to finalize the connection. You can change the configuration for each document type, Hubdoc will be the default for all types if no changes are made.
  • Disconnect your scanner from your computer, then click 'Next'.

  • Load your document into the scanner and press the 'Scan' button, the Purple colour indicates you're connected wirelessly!
  • Once the document has gone through your ScanSnap scanner, a new window will open in the ScanSnap Cloud application.

  • The document will be forwarded to your Hubdoc account!

  • any idea if this will be available in Australia?

  • Any response to the above query? Will it be available in Australia? and if so, when can it be expected?

  • Hi Everyone!

Our friends at Fujitsu are indicating a 2018 launch. Unfortunately, it likely won't be until the end of the year. The good news is that you can scan to email or scan to a desktop folder and upload using only one more step! If you have questions about this email us at and we can show you how! :)

  • this is absolute BS, it is much quicker to just do manual processing, it takes twice as long to use the scansnap/Hubdoc/QBO or Xero process. Save your self the money, dont bother buying a Scansnap, and dont bother with a Hubdoc Sub, not worth time effort or money

  • Hi Donna,

Appreciate the feedback! I'd love to get on a call with you to walk through some workflows and understand where you're seeing the most pain with getting documents from ScanSnap to Hubdoc. I use the integration frequently and feel that it does automate getting documents into our platform. Feedback is always helpful though! I'm going to ping you on my email to set something up.

    Happy Holidays!
